Ingrediënten
1/2 lb. self-raising flour
6 oz. butter
6 oz. brown sugar
2 tablespoons whisky
3 eggs
1/4 lb. cherries (quartered)
1 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt
1/4 lb. chopped almonds (reserve a few for the top)
Bereiding
Soak the nuts in the whisky for about an hour.
Cream butter and sugar. Add the beaten eggs, nuts en whisky, flour baking powder and salt.
Bake in a moderate oven for 3/4 hour.
